In line with the formation of National Orientation Agency (NOA) as a three-tier operating federal agency, the management of NOA Lagos Directorate, led by the Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola on Thursday 26TH April 2019 paid a working visit to the Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel O. Bamigboye to brief him on the activities of the agency at the grass-root and seek ways to work harmoniously for the benefit of the citizenry.

The Chairman, Hon. Bamigboye, thanked the management team for finding time to visit the Local Government Area. He commended the achievements and activities of the Agency’s staff and reiterated his administration’s commitment to continually support the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos Directorate towards carrying out its laudable programmes and activities in the Local Government Area.

He noted with sadness and heavy heart the menace of school drop outs of young ones within the local government area, a trend he said is very worrisome to his administration because it had contributed in no small way to the high cases or crime, thuggery and other social vices in the State. He requested for National Orientation Agency’s assistance in carrying out a Value Re-Orientation programme for the Local Government Area. He urged the Team to see the request as very dear and important.

Earlier in his speech, the Director, NOA, Lagos Directorate, Mr. Waheed Ishola, thanked the management of the Local Government for the reception accorded the Agency. He commended the leadership style of the Chairman and the level of work done so far as they celebrate their first 200 days in office. He stressed NOA’s preparedness to assist and service the Local Government in showcasing and propagating its programmes and activites in the grass-root areas now that the government has mandated the Agency to go into massive electoral sensitization campaign and ensuring that citizens are registered, take possession of their Permanent Voter’s Card and vote rightly in the forthcoming 2019 General Elections. On the request for an office accommodation for the Agency’s staff, the Chairman promised to re-allocate them to a more conducive place in the shortest possible time.
