Ahead of the 2017 Local Government Elections in Kwara State, the National Orientation Agency, Kwara State Directorate and the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission have evolved a robust strategy to educate the electorate.
This accord was reached when Mr. Olusegun Adeyemi, the Acting State Director of NOA, Kwara led some members of his management team on a courtesy visit to KWSIEC.
In his speech, Mr Adeyemi stated that NOA, as an organ of government, has always been at the forefront of educating voters on issues such as voting pattern, party recognition as well as the rights and duties of electorates before, during and after elections. He further stated that all the Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officers of the Agency in the 16 LGAs of Kwara have begun pre-election activities and would intensify efforts to make sure that the 2017 LG election in Kwara is smooth and peaceful.
While receiving the NOA team, Dr. Uthman Ajidagba, the KWSIEC Chairman commended NOA for the visit and its previous efforts during election. He applauded the efforts of the Agency in providing Information and Educative Materials (IEC) for voters in Kwara. The KWSIEC boss thereafter encouraged the Agency to not relent in its effort, and to do whatever is necessary in ensuring that the electorates in Kwara are properly sensitized. He emphasized that KWSIEC is set to conduct a free,fair , credible  and all inclusive Local Government Election come November 18, 2017.
