It is a common trend for Nigerians to be lackadaisical in carrying out their civic responsibilities to National issues, like the Registration and collection of Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC), National Personal Identity Card Registration etc, till the “last minute”, even when such exercises is extended for days and hours.

In an NTA interview on Tuesday 23rd October, 2018 in Ikeja the Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Lagos Directorate, Mr. Waheed Ishola noted that it is high time people key-in into the “Change Begins with Me Campaign” which is all about people’s behavioral change from negative to positive. Value is universal, so citizens must learn to do things properly and timely. Furthermore, he emphasized that the “Last Minute Rush” attitude has more negative implications than good. It delays data collation, attracts extra financial spending and in some cases improper or incomplete results.

He urged all Nigerian citizens to quickly and promptly embrace any programme rolled out by the government for the good of the people. NOA, he said, would continue to sensitize, mobilize and re-orientate the people on all government programmes, policies and activities till the desired goal is achieved.
