In continuation of its working visits, the Management Team of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State Directorate on Friday the 29th of June, 2018 paid an advocacy visit on Preservation and Protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures to the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. (Dr.) Olorunkemi Surakat. The visit was essentially to seek for collaboration and partnership on how to preserve and protect the huge critical National Assets and Infrastructures within and around the Local Government Area.

As the fastest growing local government with huge national assets and Infrastructures, the State Director, National Orientation Agency, Mr. Waheed Ishola, tasked the chairman and his management staff to see that the people are well informed about the preservation, protection and taking ownership of these assets. He requested for collaboration in a number of programmes to extensively educate and mobilize the people in the right direction. Furthermore, he urged them to see the on-going Continuous Voter’s Registration Exercise and the collection of PVCs as the only means any qualified individual can participate in the forthcoming 2019 General Elections.

The Director stressed that since the primary duty of NOA is citizen’s engagement, the Agency would assist the Local Government in executing its programmes and activities in the grass root areas. He appreciated the chairman for the unprecedented support given to the Agency and thanked them for the warm reception accorded the team.

Welcoming the Director and NOA management team, the Executive Chairman thanked the team for their visit. He emphasized the goodwill the Agency’s staff brought to the local government and the working relationship enjoyed. He made a passionate appeal in readiness for the execution of the requested programmes, especially on “Good Governance” for the 3 arms of government and promised his administration’s continuous support to the activities of National Orientation Agency.
