In respect of the forthcoming General Election 2019 and the need for massive sensitization of the people about the Continuous Voter’s Registration Exercise, the Management Team of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State on Wednesday 21st February, 2018 paid an advocacy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon.(Engr.) Mojeed Alabi Balogun. The team was led by the Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola; Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Strategy, Mr. John Emah; Deputy Director, Programmes, Mr. Rapheal Bowoto and the Deputy Director, Human Resources, Mrs. Aderonke Jacobs.

Welcoming the NOA Management Team, the chairman noted that the Local Government regards the Agency with high esteem because of its activities within and outside the local government area. The more reason some other equally important events were cut short to grant them a befitting reception. He promised his administration’s commitment to collaborate, synergise and support the National Orientation Agency (NOA), towards carrying out its programmes and activities in the Local Council Area.

Earlier, the NOA State Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola, commended the management of the Local Government for their reception and level of work done so far going to 200 days in office – a sign of dedicated leadership. He stressed NOA’s preparedness to assist the Council in propagating its programmes and activites in the grassroot area. Noting that, NOA’s primary duty is citizen’s engagement.

High point of the visit was the presentation of information/education materials and NOA’s newsletter to the Executive Chairman. In attendance were the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Engr.) Mojeed Alabi Balogun; Vice Chairman, Hon. Yemi M.A. Mayungba; Council Administrator, Mrs. Mosunmola Otaiku-Okoka; Council Secretary, Comrade Hakeem Dauda, Council Legislators/other top Local government functionaries.
