The culture of excellence, development, infrastructure, charity amongst several other virtues that Lagos State Government is well noted for was brought to fore during an advocacy visit of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State Management Team to the Permanent Secretary (PS), Lagos State Ministry of Special Duties/ Inter-Governmental Relations (IGR), Dr. Jemilade Longe on Wednesday 14th February, 2018.

Addressing the Permanent Secretary, the Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. Waheed Ishola noted that the formal meeting was for interaction and to intimate the PS on the activities of the Agency in relation to the State Government’s programmes, policies and activities as a 3tier government Agency. He reiterated the request by the State Governor for a massive sensitization of the citizenry on the forthcoming 2019 General Elections especially in the area of Voter registration. The Director requested for a synergy in the mobilization and sensitization of the people, especially in the grass-root areas, promising to make available all platforms within the Agency for the good of the people.

In his response, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Special Duties/ Inter-Governmental Relations (IGR), Dr. Jemilade Longe commended the activities of the Agency in the State; especially the weekly reports which he said had always been of great use. He promised to continually work with NOA by making sure that all the Agency’s requests are promptly looked into as a matter of urgency. Dr. Longe appreciated the need for collaboration on tax awareness and called for proposals towards the sensitization and mobilization of the people on the Continuous Voters Registration exercise.
