The Sole Administrator of Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr. Olumide Olayomi has called on the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to use the LCDA as a vehicle to project government programmes in the State.

Mr. Olumide Olayomi made the statement during an advocacy visit to the Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) by the management of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), led by the Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola.

He noted that with the volume of the socio-political and environmental decadence in the area, only the NOA has the capacity to partner with the government to achieve and give the people a new sense of direction. The Sole Administrator stressed that with NOA as vanguard of the change mantra, coupled with the track record of the Agency in terms of sensitization, education and mobilization, the LCDA would be fully ready and willing to partner with NOA to carry out a vigorous sensitization campaign in the Area. He also enjoined the NOA to bring back History and Civic education to schools and homes to drive the new rebirth project by the present government.

In his remark, the NOA State Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola, commended the Sole Administrator for recognizing the role of NOA and deeming it fit to work and partner with the Agency. He acknowledged the apathy in election matters in the community among other issues and promised that the Agency would strive to redirect the people.

Mr. Ishola promised to make available all platforms within the Agency to see that the desired goal is achieved, noting that government is about the people.
