The Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State, Mr. Waheed lshola has charged students of Lagos State institutions to be advocates of anti-corruption in their schools.

He gave the advice at a one day auditioning programme for students of various secondary schools in and around Surulere Local Government Area of the State, organized by Community Agenda for peace (CAP) in collaboration with national Orientation Agency (NOA) as a buildup to the forthcoming World Population Day scheduled for July 11th 2016.

The NOA Director, who was the Special Guest at the event, spoke on Corruption: “Not Glamorous”. He urged the students to always use their area of influence to do the Right things and preach against corruption. He stressed that corruption existed in all strata of the society and urged the students to see themselves as advocate of anti-corruption in their homes, schools and small club meetings.

Welcoming the Guest of Honour, the National Co-ordinator, Community Agenda for Peace (CAP), Barrister Phillips Obuesi said that as a UN yearly event, this year’s theme: “Investing in the Teenage Girl” was broken down to “We are Greater Together” to reflect our society and the Girl Child.

Highpoint of the event was the auditioning of the students in a debate “We Are Greater Together” among the qualifying schools, namely; Gbaja Girls Senior High School; Eric Moore High School; An’sarudeen Senior High School, Iponrin Estate High School and Obele High School.

A keenly contested debate was won by master Olapadi Oluwaseun.
