The National Population census exercise will still hold and Nigerians have been advised to remain patient as the body saddled with the conduct of the exercise continues its preparation for the conduct of the important national assignment.
The call was made by the Acting State Director, National Orientation Agency, Kwara State, Mr Olusegun Adeyemi  after he led some management members on a courtesy visit to NPC, Kwara State office.
While receiving the NOA team, Pastor Elijah, Funsho Adekeye, the NPC State Director and his management members noted that even though there has been no government proclamation concerning the census exercise which was supposed to hold in 2016, the commission has started, amidst other things, a pilot Enumeration Area Demarcation across the country and in Kwara,Oyun and Isin LGAs have were used for the pilot exercise.
Pastor Adekeye also added that the commission continues to issue both death and birth certificates to individuals who require it and that registration of a child below 18 years of age is free but attracts a fee for older children. He further urged Nigerians to log on to www.br.rapidsmsnigeria.org  to access the numerous vital information and data on germane issues which the commission uploaded for public consumption.
The NPC Director emphasized that as soon as the agency receives directive from the presidency, the other pre-census activities will begin in earnest.
