The need for Lagosians to be security conscious  and vigilant of their environment against the backdrop of the recent defeat of  the Boko Haram insurgents by the Nigeria Military  from the Sambisa forest has once again been brought to the fore by the Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State, Mr. Waheed Ishola.

Mr. Ishola who was a special guest on a Radio  Programme titled “Newsmakers” on  103.5 FM, Radio One, Ikoyi, Lagos, spoke extensively on activities of National Orientation Agency and why the people must join the “Change Begins with me” campaign.

He noted that both followers and leaders must strive to do the right things because of our failures in carrying out our basic civic responsibilities. Hence, the Director advised the citizens to align themselves with the National core values as enshrined in chapter 2 section 23 of 1999 Constitution which are Discipline, Integrity, Patriotism, Dignity of Labour, Social Justice, Self Reliance and Religious Tolerance.

The Director thanked Lagosians for imbibing the change mantra of the present administration in their daily activities and noted that a lot was still needed to bring about a total attitudinal change. He emphasized that as a mega city to be, much is still expected of the citizenry.
