The need to massively sensitize the good people of Lagos State about the Continuous Voter’s Registration Exercise, the Management Team of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State on Thursday 15th March, 2018 paid a working visit to the Executive Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government (West), Prince (Hon.) Adetoyese Tijani Olusi to get his buying in on the activities of the Agency.  The team was led by the Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola; Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Strategy, Mr. John Emah; Deputy Director, Human Resources, Mrs. Aderonke Jacobs and Assistant Director, Alhaji Aliu Fashola.

Welcoming the NOA Management Team, the chairman noted that the Local Council appreciates the activities of the Agency within the local council area. He commended the goodwill the Agency’s staff has brought to the council. He made a passionate appeal to NOA and other Federal Agencies to always carry them along in the scheme of things. He urged the Federal Government through the Agency to grant the Local Government the status of a “mini-state” with all accolades of state, backed with funds, because infrastructures are over stretched due to over population and lots of daylight tight activities. He promised his administration’s commitment to collaborate, synergise and fully support the National Orientation Agency (NOA), towards carrying out its programmes and activities in the Local Council Area.

Earlier, the NOA State Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola, commended the management of the Local Government for their warm reception and level of work done so far in their first 200 days in office, especially the recent empowering of over 450 aged within the area. He stressed NOA’s preparedness to assist the Council in propagating its programmes and activites in the grassroot area, because, NOA’s primary duty is citizen’s engagement.

In attendance were: Executive Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government (West), Prince (Hon.) Adetoyese Tijani Olusi; Vice Chairman, Hon. Babatunde W. Bashorun; Head of Administration, Mr. Babatunde Akeem Disu; Body of HODs; Councillors and Principal Officers of the council amongst others.
