As Nigerian Muslims join their counterparts across the world to celebrate the end of this year’s Ramadan, the Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Dr. Garba Abari felicitates with the Muslim Ummah, urging them to uphold the lessons of love, selflessness, tolerance, patience and perseverance which Ramadan signifies.

Abari sees the Eid-el-Fitri as an opportunity for Muslims, and indeed all Nigerians, to demonstrate the spirit of tolerance, brotherliness, love and peace that exists among us. These, he believes, should be imbibed as examples of lessons learnt during Ramadan which promotes peace and unity among citizens to facilitate the peaceful national coexistence which we all desire as Nigerians.

He also urged the Ummah to continue to pray for God’s guidance and wisdom in tackling the current challenges faced by the country as we also draw nearer to the 2303 general elections.

While admonishing the Ummah to remain true to their civic responsibilities and maintain support for government towards fulfilling its obligations, the NOA Director General calls  on the faithful to be law abiding and security conscious both during and after the celebrations as progress and development can only thrive in a secure and peaceful society.
