As Muslims all over the world mark the Eid-el kabir, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has urged the Muslim Ummah to reflect on the essence of the celebration and use the occasion to pray for peace and imbibe the virtues of selflessness, sacrifice and tolerance for development in Nigeria.

Director General of NOA, Dr. Garba Abari who made the appeal said at this period in the life of our country, Nigerians should demonstrate its desire for peace by being tolerant to each other and imbibe attitudes that encourage good neighborliness among the diverse people of the country.

“I am confident that if our people respect and support the leadership in the country, obey rules and regulations, promote tolerance, respect for one another and imbibe attitudes that encourages peaceful co-existence, the country will make progress” He added”

Abari urged Muslim faithfuls to extend their hands of fellowship to people of other faiths in a demonstration of our unity and oneness saying Nigerians can make progress when we work together inspite of our diversities.

The NOA also congratulated the Muslim ummah in Nigeria on the occasion of Eid El kabir celebration.
