The advice was given at a One-Day sensitization workshop on ” Farmers/ Herdsmen clashes; Implication on National Development ” Held at Bogoro local Government secretariat with stakeholders in attendance to discuss the way forward.
In his welcome address the HOA of the local government who was represented by the Director Admin. Mr Nahemia Markus welcomed the participants and advised them to pay more attention to the lectures so that they can make good use of the knowledge acquired for the development of the Area.
In his remarks, the NOA State Director Alhaji Nuru Yusuf Kobi called on the people of Bogoro especially Farmers/Herdsmen to collectively imbibe the spirit of love, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence, only when such virtues exist that the local government will suffice in food production.
Alhaji Nuru Kobi charged the stakeholders at the workshop to actively participate in the Peace building process to ensure peaceful coexistence in the area, and further hoped that the outcome of the meeting will pave way for the desired peace, unity and strong people devoid of sentiments and rivalries.
The NOA Director assured that NOA will continued to promote the need for mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence in spite the differences and diversities. And urged the people of the area to become a shining example of what a peaceful coexistence can help to build between Farmers and Herdsmen in Bauchi State in order to boost food production/security through bumper harvest in the forthcoming raining season.
