Security challenges in Nigeria have over the years led to loss of lives, displacement of persons and misery in many parts of the country. In particular, the rising threat in our internal conflicts which has led to armed confrontations with security forces and government by separatist groups is a worrying development. The spate of insecurity and threats to lives and properties in Nigeria has reached worrisome proportions and this is despite the increasing visibility of the Nigerian state police and military in the management of internal conflicts.

The need to resolve, manage and prevent these conflicts, and equally deal with the socio-economic challenges arising from these conflicts has become a source of worry to peace and security analyst.

It is in the light of the fore-going that the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Partnership with Peace Building Development Consult (PBDC) is hosting this 4-day Leadership Course in Preventive Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution 3 (LCPDCR 3).
