In preparation for the roll out of loans to beneficiaries and the second phase of beneficiary enrolment, the Fed Min of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development organized a digitization training for programme managers and master trainers in Abuja. The three (3) day interactive training was designed to provide a comprehensive framework for enhancement of beneficiary registration process going forward and implementation of digital transformation of programme delivery throughout the GEEP 2.0 lifespan.

Director – General, NOA, Garba Abari, in his remarks, lauded the existing partnership with the ministry and urged all participants to make inputs and seek clarification on any grey areas, as master trainers will train COMOs in their respective states. National Coordinator, National Social Investment Programme, Engr. Umar B. Bindir, in his remarks, explained that GEEP has been restructured for digital compliance to enable master trainers align with latest trend in modern technology. He reiterated that “Poverty is an issue for our country and unfortunately, it is very high. We want to have the first crack at trying to register and document all beneficiaries in a seamless but transparent process.” Zainab Musawa, Team Lead, GEEP, stated that GEEP 2.0 is ensuring a top – bottom approach and it is aimed at bringing in tools and techniques that will ensure complete sustainability and effectiveness.

The training session with the theme “rethinking and redesigning processes in the age of technology for better delivery” strives to bring a synergy between all partners and ensure recognizance of each partner across all levels and it is expected that at the end of the course, participants will be able to build teams that will excel in a digital culture that brings together new technologies and processes.
