Prior to the commencement of the physical verification of pre-selected NPower beneficiaries in Kwara State, National Orientation Agency has conducted a one day intense seminar/ training for its Assistant Directors, Chief Orientation & Mobilization Officers, Staff and existing beneficiaries of the NPOWER scheme who would be a part of the verification exercise.
Mr Olusegun Adeyemi, the State NOA Director while speaking at the training session emphasized the need for everyone who would be involved in the verification to maximize time, ensure orderliness and be honest in dealing with beneficiaries. He also cautioned them against requesting or obtaining any form of gratification before, during and after the exercise.
In his own comment, the State NPOWER Focal person, Chief Ayobola Samuel, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth and Sports development commended the Agency for their efforts during the first batch of the programme. While assuring the Agency of maximum cooperation, he encouraged NOA Staff to put in their best to reduce the margin of error.
Also, the SSA to Kwara State Government on Youth Empowerment, Alhaji Saka Babatunde who is the operational head of the SIP in Kwara State noted that the verification exercise has been simplified this time around and the sheets with details of participants would be made available to NOA. He further commended the Agency and promised the support of the Kwara State Government.
