The Managed Healthcare Services Limited (MHS) of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) on Wednesday 8th March, 2017 carried out a comprehensive Preventive Health Care Campaign at the State Headquarters of National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Ikeja, Lagos State.

Declaring  the event open, the Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State, Mr. Waheed Ishola noted that the campaign was very necessary because of the various complains encountered at the hospitals. He urged staff to make use of the opportunity to enrich themselves.

Speaking at the event, the Client Service Executive, Managed Healthcare Service Limited, Mr. Joseph Anawuna went through a slide to educate staff on the various aspects of benefits attached to the NHIS as mandated by the Federal Government of Nigeria. He emphasized that on NO ACCOUNT must subscribers pay for consultation and treatment at hospitals either at the Primary, Secondary or Tertiary health care other than the 10% of cost of drugs.

Mr. Anawuna adviced staff of NOA to take time to study the Healthcare documents as to enjoy the benefits. He urged the staff to assist NHIS by sensitizing members of the society for a better healthy environment. It would be recalled that the scheme covers a father, mother and four children between the age of 0 – 18 years.

Highpoint of the campaign was the physical examination of the staff Blood Pressure (BP), Body Mass Index (BMI), Body Fat, Visceral Fat, Muscle, Energy, Weight and Sugar level.
