The need to preserve, protect and take ownership of critical National Assets within Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, formed the tone of discussion between the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Lagos Directorate and the management of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State. NOA management team led by the Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola on Wednesday 30th May, 2018 paid an advocacy visit to the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo to seek for collaboration and partnership on a number of programmes.

Addressing management and principal officers of the Council, the NOA Director tasked them on preservation, protection and on the need to taking ownership of national critical assets and infrastructures within the Council Area. He urged them to see the on-going Continuous Voter’s Registration Exercise and the collection of PVCs as the only means any qualified individual can participate in the forthcoming 2019 General Elections. The Director noted that NOA’s primary duty is citizen’s engagement, to this end, he requested for collaboration and partnership on a number of programmes to sensitize and educate the people on the right values. He further took time to answer a number of questions from the management even as he thanked the chairman and the management staff for the warm reception and stressed the Agency’s preparedness to assist the Council in propagating its programmes and activities in the grass-root areas.

In his welcome speech, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Mufaliu Okusi who represented the Executive Chairman thanked the team for the visit. He commended the goodwill the Agency’s staff brought to the council and the good working relationship enjoyed. He promised the Executive Chairman’s commitment to collaborate, synergise and fully support the National Orientation Agency on the requested programmes.
