The National Orientation Agency and National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has concluded plans to kick start a holistic awareness and sensitization programme on the various health benefits available to all and sundry in the scheme.
This was disclosed during a courtesy visit to National Orientation Agency, Kwara State Directorate by the newly appointed Zonal coordinator of Kwara, Kogi and Niger States, Alhaji Abdul- Ganiyu Onimajesin and the newly appointed State coordinator, Hajia Abdullahi Hajara.

The Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Onimajesin appreciated NOA for its viable support of the scheme through prompt feedback and collaboration adding that NOA has been doing a great job over the years.

The State Coordinator, Hajia Abdullahi Hajara also appreciated NOA’s efforts in promoting NHIS and ensuring its sustenance. She noted that partnership with NOA is indeed an effective strategy in reaching out to many Nigerians due to its strategic location in all the Local Government Areas. She thereafter expressed the continual readiness of NHIS to inform the general populace of their programmes such as TISHIP and VCSHIP among others.

While congratulating the duo of Alhaji Onimajesin and Alhaja Hajara on their well-deserved appointment, the Ag. State Director NOA, Kwara State, Mr. Olusegun Adeyemi appreciated the leadership of NHIS in North – Central and in Kwara for extending a good hand of fellowship to NOA Kwara. Adeyemi pledged the support of the whole NOA apparatus to the success of the NHIS scheme and mentioned that the partnership between NOA and NHIS is commendable and expressed confidence in the structure and health programmes of the scheme.
