The Director General of National Orientation Agency (NOA) Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu led management of the Agency on a courtesy visit to the head office of the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) to explore areas of cooperation on the promotion of the core mandate of the Agency. On hand to receive the NOA team were the Chairman of BON, Mallam Abdulhamid Dembos, Executive Secretary of the Organisation, Dr. Yemisi Bamgbose and other officers of BON.

The DG NOA thanked BON for their past support to the Agency however, saying there is an urgent need for more support for the Agency given the deteriorating level of positive values, lack of patriotism and an increasing level of social decay in the country. For him changing attitudes, building values, leading the charge for peace and progress require the critical intervention of the media especially the visual media which has proved to be more impactful in the society.

“what we need is more coverage, consciously promoting our work to change attitude and bring peace and progress to our nation.” He said
The Chairman of BON described the organization as one comprising all private and public broadcast stations eager to support the developmental strides of the nation. He said NOA and BON can work together on several issues and pledged that the organization will support NOA to achieve its objectives.
