The naira redesign policy of the Federal Government under the Central Bank was greeted with a lot of misconceptions amongst Nigerians. Issues such as the intaglio ink, lack of trust towards the policy etc, has raised a lot of concerns and therefore the need to further engage with Nigerians. This led to the robust collaboration between the National Orientation Agency and the Central Bank of Nigeria to sensitize Nigerians on the deadline for returning their old Naira notes to the bank, the security features of the new Naira notes and the new cash withdrawal limit.

In line with the above, the NOA is presently carrying out a nation-wide sensitization campaign on Redesigned Naira across the country.

During this campaign exercise, NOA would visit Traditional Rulers & Religious Leaders, churches and mosques, Local Media houses, students in schools, Community Leaders in Local Government Areas, markets, motor parks, Youth Groups, Motor cycle & Tricycle Operators, and  also carry out Road walk & Motorized campaigns. All these activities mentioned above are geared towards ensuring Nigerians becomes aware of the intricacies that accompany the new Naira notes. The exercise is happening in all the 774 LGAs of the 36 states including FCT.
