The trio of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Peace Building Development Consult (PBDC) organized a National Summit on Non-Kinetic Approaches to Insecurity and Inter-Agency Collaboration.
The two day event was to take stock of approaches to tackle insecurity in Nigeria and to also develop, evolve and initiate new non-kinetic strategies to address seeming security challenges prevalent in our society.
NOA, has over the years advocated for method of winning the hearts and minds of people especially in conflict areas to bring about peace. Insurgency, banditry and other form of insecurity are being tackled by the Nigerian armed forces over the years, though some achievements have been recorded but overall success is dependent on the use of non-kinetic approaches to integrate people affected and involved in conflicts.
