As Nigeria is said to have the highest number of people practicing #OpenDefecation in the world, the Agency and the Federal Ministry of Water Resources plan to reverse the trend by embarking on social and behavioral change campaign.This was disclosed during Flag-off Nationwide Campaign on Open Defecation Free Nigeria in Abuja aimed at tackling associated health challenges such as cholera, diarrhea and other diseases as a result of #OpenDefecation.Both the Minister, Engr. Suleiman Adamu and the Director-General of NOA, Dr. Garba Abari explained partnership while addressing media correspondents. The purpose of the partnership to #EndOpenDefecation in Nigeria by 2025 is to leverage on the NOA’s national spread to effect #AttitudinalChange from practice that is responsible for sickness and deaths occasioned by diseases such as diarrhea, cholera and others.The event also witnessed exchange of in-house publications of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and the NOA highlighting major programmes being undertaken by their respective MDAs. #EndOpenDefecation#CleanNigeria
