The National Orientation Agency, Ondo State Directorate, in collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ondo State, organised and held a sensitization programme on continuous voter registration in ondo state in preparation for the November 2016 Governorship election at the palace of awosunye of atosin, Idanre on Sunday 12th June, 2016 to sensitize the people of the community on the need to participate in the forthcoming CVR exercise scheduled to hold between 22 & 26 June 2016 in the State.
The State Director NOA, Mr. Bode Famose, addressed stakeholders at the forum stressing the importance of their gainful participation in the exercise by making sure that eligible voters register their names at the designated registration centres near them. He told the audience that those who had obtained their PVC need not to re-register, but advised them to ensure the safe-keep of their PVC. He further told them that those who were yet to collect their PVC should endeavour to collect same during the exercise. He therefore, called for the cooperation of all stakeholders with INEC Officials for the success of the exercise.

In his address at the forum, the State Administrative Secretary of INEC, Alhaji Abdulkabir Omosanya, thanked the stakeholders for granting audience to the advocacy team.
He carefully highlighted the Electoral laws guiding the electoral process among which were: only Nigerians who are 18years and above, and have not registered before can take part in the continuous voter registration exercise slated for June 22 to 26th, 2016; no multiple registration; no registration by proxy, etc. he added that those who have registered before but were yet to collect their PVCs could collect same during the exercise. Furthermore, people were still with TVCs should come for data capturing in order to obtain PVC. According to him, people who had misplaced or lost their PVCs should write through the Local Government Electoral Officer to the State Resident Electoral Commissioner informing him of the loss of their PVCs and the desire for a replacement.
