The National Orientation Agency in partnership with the Fed Min of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development (FMHADMSD) kicked off the training of Master Trainers today in Abuja. This training is part of activities lined up ahead of the National flag-off of the Government Enterprise & Empowerment Programme (GEEP) 2.0 designed to train and equip NOA Community Orientation and Mobilization Officers (COMOs) with the requisite skills to work with FMHADMSD to address the challenges of credit and financial inclusion.

Director – General NOA, in his goodwill message tasked the Master Trainers who were nominated from every state and the FCT in Nigeria to take the training with all seriousness as they are expected to train all the COMOs in their respective states. He assured the Honourable Minister, Fed Min of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq of the Agency’s commitment and dedication to ensure the success and sustainability of GEEP 2.0.

The GEEP programme of the Federal Government is designed to provide access to credit for the poor and vulnerable people who are at the bottom of the economic pyramid, and are involved in active commercial activity but have never had the opportunity to access Federal Government assisted loans. The programme provides three classes of loan products namely; Tradermoni, MarketMoni and FarmerMoni to support small to medium sized businesses.
