As part of NOA’s commitment to a successful Local Government election in Lagos State, the Management Team of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State paid an advocacy visit to the Lagos State lndependent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) in Yaba, Lagos State on Wednesday 5th April 2017.

The Director, National Orientation Agency, Lagos State, Mr. Waheed Ishola said that the visit was to formalise relationships and seek cooperation with the Commission on the forthcoming Local Government Election in the State. He noted that effective sensitization of the people through Voter’s Education was paramount in other to arrest voter apathy, electoral violence and the incidence of void votes amongst others.

Mr. Ishola used the occasion to formally invite the Commission to the forthcoming NOA interactive programme with elected public officials scheduled to take place on Thursday 6th April, 2017 in Lagos.

In her speech, the Chairman of Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), Honourable Justice Ayotunde Phillips, thanked the Management Team of NOA, Lagos State for finding time to visit the Commission at a short notice. She pledged the Commission’s readiness to work with the Agency especially in the area of Voters Apathy, enlightenment and sensitization of the citizenry.

With NOA’s State Director were the Deputy Director, Human Resources Management, Mr. John Emah; Deputy Director, Programmes, Mr. Rapheal Bowoto; Assistant Director, Programmes, Ms. Tola Adegboyega and Assistant Director, Mrs. Riskatu Abiodun Shittu of Lagos Mainland local Government at the occasion.
