As part of her mandate to educate the citizenry on government programmes and activities in order to have a violence free society. The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State, on Wednesday 19th July 2017, held a Public Enlightenment forum on Voter Education and Violence Free 2017 Lagos State Local Government Elections at the Council hall of Mushin Local Government Area of the State.

Delivering his address to a broad spectrum of the people within the community, the Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State, Mr. Waheed Ishola, noted that the Local Government Elections is very important to the sustainace of our Democracy because it is the government that people actually see and interact with.

He took time to educate the people on how to cast their vote properly without voiding it.

1. Do not thumb print on Party Logo or symbols

2. Do not thumb print on the lines but to thumb print inside the box in front the party logo or symbols.

The Director urged all those with Voter’s Card and who are eligible to vote to go out enmass and exercise their civic duties. He cautioned that on no account should people wear their party “Attires” to Polling Centers while market men and women are not allowed to sell Hard Drinks near or at Polling Centers.

Mr. Ishola made a special appeal to Parents and Guardians to prevail on their wards and children against being used by unscrupulous politicians to forment trouble.

The Sole Administrator, Mushin Local Government, Lagos State, Honourable Yinka Kaseem Esho thanked the people for their cooperation and understaning. He enjoined them to be violent free and endeavor to comply with the constituted authorities so as to contribute positively to the process.

Other speakers at the event includes the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Mushin Local Government, Mr. Lanre Ishola and Representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Electoral Officer, Mushin Local Government, Mr. Fasinro Afeez Adekunle.
