The National Orientation Agency (NOA) is seeking the partnership of the organised labour Unions in the country, to achieve the onerous task of the country’s Renewed Hope Campaign.

Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, Director General of the NOA, firmly believes that the Organised Labour Unions hold critical roles in keeping the Nigeria Work Force stable to achieve the envisaged growth and development in the nation.

He spoke in Ado Ekiti, Capital of Ekiti State, at the Annual Convention of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation, Civil Service Technical and Recreational services Employees (AUPCTRE). AUPCTRE is the central workers union of the National Orientation Agency.
As the new helmsman at the NOA, he appealed for cooperation and support from the Labour Unions, especially given the expected role of the Agency in the campaign to re-energise the Nigerian citizen’s passion for the country. He said: “it is not for nothing that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Government created the Ministry of Information and National Orientation. It is to underscore the importance attached to the Nation’s value re-orientation and attitudinal change. We must, as a Nation, rediscover ourselves and return to the essence of the Real Nigerian imbued with honesty, hardwork, discipline and patriotism.
“As an Agency we must be prepared to play our role in the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present Government with the labour unions being a pivotal part of the strategic process in mobilizing workers, stabilising the environment and encouraging productivity.

On the many welfare issues raised by the workers, Mallam Issa- Onilu appealed for patience as plans are rife to offset all promotions arrears in the Agency.
