The National Orientation Agency in partnership with Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Center (CISLAC), with support from Oxfam-Nigeria, today organised the second series of a One Day Stakeholder Interactive Session on the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021. The first was held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in October.
The new PIA was signed into law on the 16th of August, 2021 by President Muhammed Buhari. The Act provides the framework for regulation, revenue earning, business and corporate responsibility of Nigeria’s huge oil and gas industry in line with emerging international and local dynamics.
