Residents of the State have been called upon to be more vigilant towards complimenting government’s security efforts aimed at protecting lives and property of the citizens. The State Acting Director National Orientation Agency Bauchi State Alhaji Nuru Yusuf  Kobi made the call when he addressed Press Men, he commented on the recent suicide bomb attacks in Borno and Adamawa State by unknown people.
According to him, due to the dislodgement of insurgents from their hideouts at Sambisa forest, there are security reports that they have developed other strategies by using teenagers to target various public places. Alhaji Nuru Kobi therefore advised members of the public to be security conscious by establishing vigilante groups and the use scanners at worship centres, Banks, Schools, Super Markets and other public places, adding that they should always report promptly any suspicious movement around them to relevant security Agencies for necessary action.
The NOA Acting Director used the medium to direct all the Chief Orientation and Mobilization officers of the Agency in the tweenty (20) Local Government Areas to mount an intensive sensitization campaign, through Advocacy visits to traditional and religious leaders, worship centres, as well as public places aimed at educating the people on the need to be more vigilant and security conscious in their environments.
