The Wife of Bauchi State Governor, Her Excellency, Hajiya Hadiza Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar has called for active participation of relevant Government Agencies and private sectors towards eradicating the rate of social vices in the state. Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar made the call when she recieved a delegation of National Orientation Agency in the State led by its Acting Director, Alhaji Nuru Yusuf Kobi in her office. The wife of the State Governor indicated that fighting social vices especially drugs abuses requires individuals support and therefore, called on the parents to always monitor the movement of their children for the betterment of the society.
According to her the aim of establishing her NGO (B-SWEEP) Is to improve the wellbeing of Women and Youths through economic Empowerment, skills acquisition among others and assured of her readimness to work in close collaboration with the NOA in educating the public on government policies, programmes and activities.
In his remarks, the State Acting Director National Orientation Agency, Alhaji Nuru Yusuf said they were at the first Lady’s office to intimate her on the activities of the Agency and to seek collaboration towards educating members of the public especially on the present administration Change Begins With Me programme. Alhaji Nuru Kobi informed the wife of the State Governor that information reaching his Agency from the tweenty local government Areas indicated that the State Governor His Excellency Barr. Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar has achieved success in various sectors such as education, Agriculture, health, and roads construction to mentioned just few, therefore, commended the State Governor for his laudable projects in both rural and urban areas of the State.
He also commended the wife of the Governor for introducing B-SWEEP a Non-Governmental Organization formed by Her Excellency which he said no doubt has improve the conditions of the people especially in reducing maternal death and malnutrition, ensure a sustainable women economic advancement under sound health,education and peaceful coexistence.
The NOA Director unveiled plan by his Agency to soon embark on series of sensitization programme on drug abuse, and Change Begins With Me campaign on positive attitudes about work, discipline ,integrity, patriotism , self-reliance, social justice among others , saying that we are ready for collaboration and synergy with the wife of the Governor to ensure it’s success in the State.
