The State Acting Director NOA Bauchi State, Alhaji Nuru Yusuf Kobi has call on telecom consumers to avail themselves the opportunity offered by the NCC and be enlightened on their rights and privileges, he stated this at a consumer outreach programme held in Bauchi at the premises of multi-purpose indoor sport Hall Bauchi in keeping with the programme spirit of the march 15 declaration of the 2017 as the year of the Nigerian Telecom consumer by the management of the NCC.
Alhaji Nuru Kobi commended NCC for organizing the forum, which he said, will improve  the knowledge of the telecom consumer.
Alhaji Nuru Kobi assured that the Agency will sensitize the public on the activities of the NCC, that if you are not satisfied as a telecom consumer with the services rendrered to you by services provider’s you can channel your complaints to the NCC through their toll free line 622.
In his remarks the Zonal controller of the commission in charge of North-West, (Kano office) Alhaji Adamu Amshi said the campaign is focussing on protecting, informing, and educating the telecom consumer on his rights and privileges and also heighten sensitization on some vital issues that pursed as challenges to the telecom consumer.
Alhaji Adamu Amshi assured the commission’s  commitment to ensure that consumers are fully satisfied  with services being provided .
Issues discussed during the meeting includes  the need for telecom consumer to activate the “Do Not Disturb” 2442 code to halt unsolicited Tele marketing messages, as well the need for consumer to make use of the Toll free line 622 to lodge genuine complaint  about unsatisfactory telecom services.
The occasion witnessed lively debates on various issues that bothered the telcom consumers and was well attended to by the services provider’s and the NCC. Stakeholders that includes civil servants, markets men and  women, students, clubs and Association, journalists.
