The need for people to remain vigilant and keep their environment safe was emphasized by the Acting State Director, National Orientation Agency, Kwara State Directorate, Mr Olusegun Adeyemi when he featured on a Kwara Television programme tagged life and security.

The programme which focused on security and environmental challenges facing our various communities in Nigeria had the NOA Director has its guest recently where he spoke on the need for the people to wake up to their responsibilities as parents and citizens of this great country, adding that the act of dumping refuse on our drainages is a condemnable act,which is hazardous and dangerous especially as the rain increases.

Mr Adeyemi further noted with dismay, the act of building houses without toilet facilities by landlords saying how archaic and illegal the act is. He therefore urged people to report such landlords to Ministry of Health and other relevant agencies for appropriate actions.

Speaking on the security of human lives, Mr Olusegun Adeyemi reiterated the fact that cases of missing persons are on the increase in Ilorin and its environs and urged everyone to be vigilant more than ever. He cited the unfortunate case of a man arrested with four human hearts in ilorin recently and urged parent and guardians to warn their children and wards against responding to strangers and alert security officials of any suspicious attempt on their wards or property.

The NOA Director advised all and sundry to remember that “Security is everybody’s  business and it is everyone’s duty to report any form of questionable movement to the police, civil defense and all other security personnel.
