Today we join many patriotic Nigerians to celebrate the 57th anniversary of our Country, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Bauchi State use the occasion to called on the citizens of Bauchi State by extension all Nigerians to renew our faith in the Unity of Nigeria as one indivisible Nation. We should celebrate with great fanfare, splendour, respect for the Nation and deep sense of Patriotism by putting the Country before self.
The State Acting Director NOA Bauchi State Alhaji Nuru Yusuf Kobi made the call in a goodwill message to the citizens of Bauchi State. Alh. Nuru Kobi said independence day should serve as a day of renewing faith in our Country in respective of our political or religious differences, it should also serve as a platform for the rededication to our leaders who were privilege to serve as authority over the people ” Service to the people not self”. These are the good values of our founding fathers, the likes of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Nnamdi Azikewe, and chief Awolowo and many others.
The day we should express our joy and be proud of our National symbols such as the constitution, National anthem, and pledge, National flag, Coat of Arms, Currency and others. We should be proud of our privilege of being the largest Country in Africa. We should have the strength and courage to dedicate our life to the service of the Nation, that’s service to the Country first before ourselves.
We should rekindle the flame of hope that Nigeria promised as a nation with a bright future awaiting us. As good citizens we have a part to play by supporting the programmes and activities of the present Administration of Muhammadu Buhari and the Agency’s campaign to Nigerians ” Say No To Hate Speeches” in order to achieve a united and prosperous nation.
