The call was made by the State Acting Director of the Agency Alhaji Nuru Yusuf Kobi while addressing Wards, Village Heads, Religious, and opinion leaders at the launching of Grassroots sensitization campaign on local government assembly in Bauchi District Head office on the need to join hands with the Agency to mobilize the public to support government in the fight against corruption, insecurity (Sara suka, kidnapping, money counterfeit) to mentioned just a few in their respective areas to accelerate development.

Alhaji Nuru Kobi further stressed the need for the patronage of Made in Nigeria products for the Nation’s economy to move to the next level. He said the forum is designed to educate the stakeholders on various Government programmes, policies, projects and activities, and also listened to their advice for the way forwards in the crusade against corruption and insecurity in the country. While describing ward heads and religious leaders as gateway to the society. The Acting Director charged them to always be security conscious in their areas and report any suspicious character to security Agencies for appropriate action. He commended them for their contributions to societal development and ask them to maintain the spirit.

Speaking at the event the District Head of Bauchi Alhaji Nuru Adamu Jumba (Chiroman Bauchi) thanked NOA for maintaining cordial relationship with the traditional institutions, promoting peace and stability in society through public awareness. The District Head also used the forum to respond to some issues raised at the occasion especially the issue of Anchor Borrowers programme and called on people to continue to exercise patience as some minor hitches being encountered by the programme will be soon be addressed. He commended the present administration for the effort in addressing security problems especially in the Northeastern  part of this country.
