As the only Agency of government mandated to ensure that Government programmes and policies are better understood by the general public, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Lagos State management team, led by the Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola; Deputy Director, Planning Research and Strategy, Mr. John Emah; Deputy Director, Programmes, Mr. Rapheal Bowoto and Deputy Director, Human Resource, Mrs. Aderonke Jacobs on Thursday 22nd February, 2018 paid a working visit to the Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Salisu Fatiu Jimoh to intimate him on the activities of the agency at the grassroot and to further bridge the gap between the two.

The Executive Chairman, Hon. Salisu Fatiu Jimoh, who offered prayers to the management team, thanked them for finding time to visit the Council Area despite the distance and location. He noted that the Agency had being very active but requested for more spread within the Council area because information is key. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to support the National Orientation Agency (NOA), towards carrying out its programmes and activities in the Local Government Area.

Earlier, the NOA State Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola, commended the management of the Local Government for the peaceful election and work done so far, going to 200 days in office. He acknowledged in particular, the chairman’s humility, a virtue he said can only come from his up-bringing. Since a literate society is a liberated society, the director stressed NOA’s preparedness to assist the Council in propagating its programmes and activites in the grassroot especially now that government is interested with the Continuous voter’s registration exercise. Highpoint of the event was the presentation of Information/educational materials and NOA Newsletter by the Director to the Executive Chairman.

In attendance were: The Executive Chairman, Hon. Salisu Fatiu Jimoh;  Vice Chairman of the local Council, Hon. (Mrs.) Motunrayo Gbadebo Alogba; Council Secretary, Hon. Kunle Olabiwonu; Head of Administration, Mr. Akinsiku F.O, Human Resources Officer, Mr. Afolabi B.A; Principal Officers of the Council, Departmental Heads and other council functionaries.
