“The role of National Orientation Agency (NOA), in sensitizing and mobilizing the people cannot be over-empahsised, once the needed funding is there, their impact would be greatly felt. On our part, we would back and support all their programmes.”

The above, was the statement of the Executive Chairman, Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, Honourable Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira when the management team of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State, led by the Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola; Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Strategy, Mr. John Emah; Deputy Director, Programmes, Mr. Rapheal Bowoto and Deputy Director, Human Resources, Mrs. Aderonke Jacobs on Tuesday 20th March, 2018 paid a working visit to the Executive Chairman to intimate him on the activities of the agency as expected of them at the grassroot and equally seek ways to work harmoniously for the benefit of the citizenry.

The Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira, thanked the management team for finding time to visit the Local Council Area, he noted that his administration would continue to back and support the National Orientation Agency (NOA), towards carrying out its programmes and activities especially the ongoing Continuous Voters’ Registration Exercise.

Earlier in his remarks, the NOA State Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola, commended the management of the Local Council Development Area for their massive turnout to receive him, the achievements made so far as they celebrate their first 200 days in office and the conducive working environment. He acknowledged in particular, the chairman’s humility, a virtue he said can only come from his up-bringing. The Director stressed NOA’s preparedness to assist the local government in propagating its programmes and activites in the grassroot area now that the government has mandated the Agency to go into massive electoral sensitization campaign and ensuring that citizens are registered, take possession of their Permanent Voter’s Card and vote correctly in the forthcoming 2019 General Elections. On the request for an office apartment for the Agency’s staff, the Chairman gave an immediate executive order for allocation of office space.

In attendance were: The Vice Chairman, Pastor Gbenga Oyebode; Council Head of Administration, Mr. Oladipo Otinwa; Council Secretary, Mr. Kehinde Baruwa; Leader of the House, Hon. Akoride Adams; Builder Mrs. Funmilayo Adesanya, amongst others.
