Following the dislodgement of Boko Haram insurgents from Sambisa forest by the Nigerian Military and the dispersal of escapee insurgents to different parts of the country, it became imperative to draw the attention of the people to the new security challenge call for collective action to mitigate it. This informed the decision of the Ondo State Directorate of the NOA to liaise with the security apparatus in the state to forestall any incidence of insurgency in the State.

The visits were held to the offices of the State Commissioner of Police & the Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp on Thursday 26th January and to the office of the Director of DSS on Thursday 19th January 2017. Each was an interactive session in which the NOA State Director Mr. Bode Famose addressed the heads of the security agencies on different occasions. The State Director commended the heads of the security agencies for their efforts in maintaining peace in the state and encouraged them to maintain the tempo. He further emphasized the need to synergize with the security agencies and relevant stakeholders like FBOs, CBOs, Traditional Rulers in grassroots campaign that will help educate the populace on the need to be security conscious.

In their various responses, they all pledged to support NOA in performing her tasks.
