Perturbed by the level of Ethno-religious conflicts in Nigeria, National Orientation Agency (NOA) and Peace Building Development Consult (PBDC) organize a week-long training programme tagged “Leadership Course in Preventive Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution”, believed to be the appropriate response to incessant conflicts.
DG NOA, Dr. Garba Abari n his opening speech challenged participants to be resourceful while saying he expected robust participation from all of them to bring new ways to contain conflicts in our society.
He said NOA remains a focal Agency with the mandate to promote peace through its numerous channels of citizens’ engagement process. He commended PBDC for being patriotic in the quest to realize a country of our dream devoid of conflicts and crisis.
The highlight of the training witnessed presentation of certificates to participants at the”Leadership Course in Preventive Diplomacy & Conflict Resolution” for peace and security managers. Abari described them as ambassadors of peace and development.
