NOA organized Stakeholders Engagement on “Understanding the Application of the Freedom of Information (FoI) Act Beyond Frontiers of Accounting and Contract”. The gathering intends to promote transparency in governance and responsibilities of the citizens.
Director-General of NOA, Dr. Garba Abari highlighted efforts made by the Agency by producing FOIA into 24 Nigerian languages to deepen understanding of citizens on their roles and responsibilities.
Delivering a welcome address, Director, Reform Coordination and Service Improvement (RCSI) Mr. Elisah Sabo thanked invited participants and promised the interactive would enrich knowledge and improve service delivery.
Resource person, Bonat Tagwai (PhD) took participants through a paper titled: Expanding Freedom of Information Act Beyond the Frontiers of Accounting and Contract with reference to relevant provisions of the Act.
