The Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Garba Abari has called on public servants to maintain a positive disposition to duty, despite the present economic challenges in the country, urging them to think outside the box and support the present administration toward ending the recession.

Abari who made this call while addressing staff of the Agency in Nasarawa State said the difficulties in implementing government policies, occasioned by the present economic situation, makes the Agency’s role of mobilizing popular support for government more relevant at this time.

The DG NOA urged Nigerians, especially public servants, not to be deterred by the recession but rather be inspired to restrategize and explore new ways of growing the economy and supporting government’s palliatives for the well being of citizens. He also urged public servants to imbibe the spirit of team work and handwork while eschewing idle talk, envy and strife so as to focus their energies on service delivery in line with the mandates of their various organizations.

Abari further urged NOA staff to effectively deploy the Agency’s unique and robust platforms, which run from the national, through the States to the Local Government levels, in communicating government policies and programmes at all levels.

The NOA boss used the occasion to reassure Nigerians that government was taking all necessary economic measures to ensure the economy is stable in the shortest possible time and moves into the path of growth again.
