At the flag off of “Change Begins with Me” sensitization Campaign in Lagos west Senatorial District, organized by National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, the Sole Administrator, Hon. Nurudeen Bamidele Oki, declared that the “Change Begins With Me” Campaign is a National Re-orientation Campaign that must be embraced by all and sundry as to instill discipline, patriotism as well as promote and restore our value system and rekindle nationalistic favour.
In his speech, the Guest Speaker and Chief Campaigner, the Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State, Mr. Waheed Ishola went down memory lane to x-ray the causes of indiscipline and decay of social values and ways to strengthen up the society for better development.
He noted that the Campaign, “Change Begins With Me” is not merely in terms of our economic and social progress but in terms of how we conduct ourselves, engage our neighbours, friends and generally how we relate with the larger society in a positive and definitive way. Change at home, change in the work place, change at market place, change at traffic areas and all good things that are related to positive change in the society.
The Director enjoined residents and the good people of Lagos West Senatorial District to align themselves with the national core values in the 1999 Constitution. These are: Discipline, Integrity; Dignity of Labour; Social Justice; Religious Tolerance; Self Reliance and Patriotism for a progressive society.
