Hon Minister of Information and Culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed has reiterated commitment of the federal government in providing adequate security for all Nigerians, just as he said there are successes recorded in the fight against banditry and cattle rustling especially in the North-West of the country.

The minister disclosed this at the 16th edition of Special Town Hall Meeting in Katsina State while most frontline state governors were present.

Alh. Mohammed said the purpose for organizing town hall meetings is to give an account of stewardship in certain sectors of the economy or affairs of governance.

He commended the efforts of the security agencies and state governors in the affected areas.

Host Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State, thanked supports from federal government while he enumerated achievements of his administration to include jncreased funding for security, improved relationships with military and establishment of amnesty office.

Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola said the purpose of every government is to protect lives and property, adding that President Buhari administration is capable and will continue to evolve strategies for improved security.

NOA, a citizens engagement Agency is directly involved in #SpecialTownHallMeeting due to its very nature of mobilizing favourable supports for government policies and programmes. The Agency also gauges, on regular basis, feelings of citizens on government policies/programmes.

Citizens have a duty to support government with necessary information as regards security. We must all play our part to ensure security agencies succeed in their quest to rid the nation of all challenges we are currently facing as a nation.
