To curb rising menace of drug abuse and its attendant criminal activities, National Orientation Agency (NOA) amd the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)are set to synergize to combat the scourge leveraging NOA’s grassroots penetration and citizens engagement drive.

The collaboration was announced during the visit by the Director-General of the NOA, Dr. Garba Abari to the Chairman NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd).

While speaking, Dr. Abari said having been partnering with relevant stakeholders that the NOA is willing to collaborate with the NDLEA to roll back drug abuse and other illicit drug activities.

Responding, NDLEA boss revealed that the Nigeria is in dire need of serious action to tackle drug abuse in Nigeria, adding that drug abuse has significant link to rising insecurity and criminal activities in the country.

He commended the NOA for its sustained activities targeted at creating awareness on dangers of drug abuse evident in its campaign materials and messages.

The event witnessed exchange of souvenirs and publications of both organizations.
