DG NOA, Dr. Garba Abari received Lemmy Ughegbe of Make A Difference Initiative to discuss sustained strategies to end rape and gender based violence in Nigeria as cases spike in recent time.
Make A Difference Initiative seeks safe spaces for children and the Elimination of sexual violence which is evident in coordinated protests across some cities in Nigeria over serial acts of sexual violence by father and his son for 5 years which eventually led to the death of Ochanya Elizabeth Ogbanje at age 13.
#MenAgainstRape is championed by Made A Difference Initiative to signpost a shift from female dominated efforts in tackling rape gender based violence in Nigeria. The partnership with NOA is aimed at reversing ugly trend.
