At a special interview session on 104.9FM today, May 8, 2024, Dr. Mohammed Kudu Abubakar hosted Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu, the Director General, National Orientation Agency, (NOA) discussed the proposed National Values Charter (NVC). This charter serves as a social contract between the country and its citizens, orchestrated by the National Orientation Agency, set to be introduced as one of the agency’s transformative initiatives.

The Director-General emphasized the crucial role of attitudinal change in fostering the desired development within Nigeria. He underscored the need to cultivate a national identity, highlighting its potential to enhance citizen accountability.

When asked about the concerns of the agency’s insufficient funding, Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu outlined his strategy to elevate the value of the National Orientation Agency’s contributions to the nation, thereby attracting necessary funding.
