As the world celebrates the 2017 International Peace Day with the theme ‘Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All, Mr Olusegun Adeyemi, the NOA Kwara State Acting Director has emphasized the need for all and sundry to promote speeches and conducts that promote unity and peace because without peace no nation can develop.

He made this stament during his presentation at the public lecture organized by Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor, Special Duties in collaboration with Trios Human Development Foundation Institute.
The programme which held at the Kwara State Banquet Hall had in attendance the Executive Governor of Kwara State  represented by Otunba Taiwo Joseph the Kwara State, Commissioner for Environment. The Governor in his speech urged everyone to promote the virtue of peace, harmony so that we can ensure a peaceful society.
In her own address, Evangelist Mrs Felicia Dupe Faremi, the S.A Special Duties to Kwara State Governor noted that peace remains a sine qua non which we all must contribute our qouta to maintain.
There were goodwill messages from representatives of NDLEA, Nigeria Prisons Service, Nigeria Police, NGO’s FBO’s and CBO’s. Paper presentations were made by Prof. Hassan Salihu (Unilorin) and Pastor Ade Bodunde ( Trios Foundation CEO)
