For mutual working relationship and to get the buy-in of the chief executive into the activities of National Orientation Agency (NOA) in the grass-root areas, especially now that the 2019 General Elections draws near. The Management Team of NOA, Lagos State led by the Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola and Deputy Directors; Mr. John Emah, Mrs. Aderonke Jacobs and the Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officer, Mr. Usi Ihonde paid a working visit to the Executive Chairman, Coker/Aguda Local Council Development Area, on Tuesday 13th March, 2018.
Welcoming the NOA Management Team on behalf of the Executive Chairman (Hon. Omobolanle Medinat Akinyemi-Obe) the Vice Chairman, Hon. Johnson Olumuyiwa Kalejaiye noted that the synergy between the Local Council and the Agency is very natural and cordial. He commended the Agency’s activities in awareness creation and requested to know areas the Agency would further need their support. Hon. Kalejaiye who apologised for the absence of the Executive Chairman, promised their administration’s commitment to collaborate, synergise and fully support the National Orientation Agency (NOA), towards carrying out its programmes and activities in the Local Council Area.
Earlier, the NOA State Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola, commended the management of the LCDA for their reception. He appealed for logistics, in terms of provision of motorized sensitization vehicle, public address systems and modest financial assistance for printing of handbills. The Director stressed NOA’s preparedness to assist the Council in propagating its programmes and activites in the grassroot area, because, NOA’s primary duty is citizen’s engagement.
High point of the visit was the presentation of information/education materials and NOA’s newsletter to the Vice Chairman. In attendance were: Head, Admin and Human Resources, Mr. Olusola N. Tobun; HOD WAPA, Mrs. Abiola Agbaje; HOD Agric, Mrs. Odulate; Mr. Victor Alavide Information Officer, Miss Oki amongst others.
