The fight against corruption and social vices is a collective one. To this end, the Management team of Youth Alive Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation based in Nigeria, on Wednesday the 19th of September, 2018 paid an advocacy visit to the State Headquarters of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos Directorate in Ikeja.

The Team led by the Lagos State Coordinator, Mr. Chamberlain Etukudoh said that the visit was primarily to seek for advocacy and partnership with NOA in carrying out their laudable programmes against Youth Anti-social vices. He took time to brief the Director (NOA) on the activities of the organization in Lagos State on Youth behavioral Change, Youth Discipline, Campaign Against Corruption, Activities in Tertiary institution and the development of a new Governance Game Software package tagged “Your Excellency”.

The Coordinator noted that the package was developed to get the interest and attention of youths in the cause of their day to day activities with their hand phones. An application with multi-tasking governance questions on different stages of the game can be downloaded from the Google Play and Apple Store of any device (handsets, i-pad, i-phone, laptops etc). He further requested the Agency to help supply more contents for the expansion of the game and equally draw a programme that will incorporate the Organization’s activities for a long time benefit.

Welcoming the team, the Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Lagos Directorate, Mr. Waheed Ishola thanked the Coordinator and his team for their visit and achievement so far, especially on the Governance Game – “Your Excellency”. He urged them to continue with the good work they have started. The Director promised to partner and work with the group outside funding, by accommodating their programmes in the Agency’s platforms and schedules. He equally urged them to write formally, detailing areas of collaboration for their request to be looked into.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of a branded T-shirt, information and educational materials of the organization to the Director.
